Is it too soon to make it official?

1 (22 F) have been talking to the is guy
(24M) and I really like him. We are both seniors in college (he took gap years) and we have been on 3 dates. I really like him and he really likes me. I have a feeling he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend soon (make things exclusive) but l'm not sure if it's too soon. I don't want to make a mistake and ruin what we have. How long should you wait before you ask someone to be your bf/ gt?

Answer

There's no official timeline for relationships. Three dates is plenty of time to bring up wanting things to be official. My wife personally made things official with me after one date. I also have friends that were *it's complicateds* for years before making things official. If you feel like you want to spend the long run with them, there's no harm in finding out if they feel the same.
