Is this a sign of incompatability?

Me and my bf have completely different music tastes. Idk if its a sign. We are GREAT and very alike in all areas. Weve been together 2 years My favorite music genres are R&B, singer songwriter, alternative. But really i listen to a bit of everything and have a wide range. My boyfriend mostly listens to music club mixes and like EDM. Not all the time. He does like r&b old school music like me during his car rides. Sometimes we have a drink and sing old r&b songs together. But around the house, cleaning or showering he plays Spanish, country, and EDM/ pop mixes with barely any words. I never would think my soulmate would listen to this type. Because ive met cool people that have the exact same type as me. I feel music soul deep and for him its just background noise.
