Anxiety with putting baby in her bassinet

Amylee

We officially have a one-week old! So far she’s been a great sleeper (knock on wood). But we’ve been co-sleeping (I know I know pls don’t come for me). My husband started it while we were in hospital and once we came home as I was recovering from a c-section.

Now we both have anxiety with putting her in her bassinet in our room. We tried on night three of being home, but as soon as my husband put her in it she woke up and he said she was just staring at him, insulted from across the room and he felt guilty and could hear her grunting and squeaking so he picked her up.

Me on the other hand, the anxiety is surrounding not hearing her breathe and her little newborn curl rolling her onto her side..

I’d really like to get her in there because my anxiety is high having her in bed with us.

I am waking up every 3 hours to feed her (habit from being in hospital and having GD and needing to check her sugars every 3 hours). But just don’t know how to settle the anxiety and to actually sleep in those windows.
