Anyone deliver at 42 weeks and no issues?

There’s a lot of fear about delivering so much past your due date but I really don’t want to be induced either. I know there are risks to both.

I never made it that far with my pregnancies but I refused induction twice with my first and did a homebirth with my second. Perfectly healthy babies!! I’d have flatly refused induction for past 42 weeks unless there was a medical sign of necessity. 
I’d also add that the placenta is a fetal organ. It does not expire or stop working simply because a baby has reached a certain age.

My youngest was born at 41+6, just a few hours away from 42 weeks, I was considered high risk and he was breech up to 39 weeks, was also cleared for a vaginal breech delivery. Everything went perfectly smooth, no troubles or tearing, perfectly fine placenta.
