I live at my boyfriend of 3 years’ house with my son. His mortgage is low, and he only asks 30-40% of it. Since he pays the bills and it would be going towards bills, utilities, internet, etc. he also takes care of my car and checks my tires and gives me oil changes. Bring my hone food randomly, and i do the same for him. When it comes to going out for dinner, for a date night he usually pays, but i started picking up some of the bills too. And another example, we go grocery shopping and he paid for the bill, then we decided to go to a different store and i paid for that one. We take turns buying groceries, toiletries, cleaning products. I like this setup, and i love that we both are working and hustling towards our dreams, and it feels more like a partnership this way. we both make near the same amount, he makes a tad bit more than me tho.

(By 50/50 i mean split bills and money, not only giving 50% of yourself) when im lacking or saving he 100% covers me. And i love that, but also feel i dont need anyone or want to just stay at home for a man to take care of me.

Do you ladies think this is fair?
