HUNGRY BABY

is it okay if i am feeding my 6 week old 5oz of formula every 3hrs? i am feeding 4 and a half oz bc that is what my pediatrician recommended. he said not to feed more than that or he’ll vomit. but recently he has been asking for his bottle an hour/half an our earlier. he will get fussy! and i try everything before i feed him since baby’s don’t always cry bc they’re hungry. i change his diaper, i check his body temperature, i put him on his bouncer. after that i can only assume he is hungry. but is it okay if i feed 5oz. i read that by 2months they should drink 6oz every 3-4hrs. i just don’t want to think i am over feeding him. he will be 2 months April 28.
