Crying during sex

I’m not sure what happened… I tried to have sex with my partner lastnight. I usually am not interested in sex because my birth control has absolutely killed my sex drive completely. But I try to have sex sometimes for the sake of my partner. This time my partner was going hard at it and I felt completely numb. I literally felt ntn at all, besides an ache in my thighs. It was like I was just laying there waiting for it to end because I couldn’t feel anything down there. And while waiting I started to cry. I don’t know why but I cried. He was so confused and asking me what happened and I just got up and said ntn and to try console myself in the bathroom. I came out and he was still asking what happen and I had no answer, he asked if it was him and I told him no, he asked if I wanted to finish and I told him no. I think he’s very hurt by it because he didn’t kiss me goodbye this morning. I don’t even know how to explain to him what happened
