C section recovery with apron belly

I had an emergency c section on 6th April.

I’ve always had an apron belly and the C section has made it a little worse so I have quite an overhang now.

The scar is underneath the overhang and I’ve kept it clean and tried my best to keep it dry everyday but it’s tough when you have a newborn to look after.

It was healing fine and now I’ve noticed some fluid in the right hand side along with redness. It looks like a rash. The midwife has checked it and said it doesn’t look infected and I’ve tried getting a GP appointment but if you live in the UK, you’ll know how difficult that is.

Anyone else had this? I’ve now started to use a cotton flannel between my overhang to keep it dry.
