Feeling guilty....

My best guy friend has been feeling down for a while. I've tried helping but says I put too much pressure on him. I try to be chipper so he's not surrounded by so much negativity. But why do I feel guilty being happy? I don't want to be a Debby downer but he makes me feel like I should.
