Is it negligent to allow someone you have dated for less than 6 months alone with your child for any amount of time?
I just watched an episode of a crime show about a mother who let this guy she was dating for less than 5 months babysit her 2 year old son regularly. The child was abused and killed by the boyfriend while she was working. She saw the bruises and still allowed him to babysit. I just don’t understand how any mother could allow a man they have only dated for a handful of months around her child, let alone have them babysit.
