Advice on heavy lifting at work?

So I’ve just told work I’m pregnant, I’m only 7 weeks but im talking more when im bigger.

I work in a warehouse, lifting heavy bulk items, standing and bending for 8 hours. The max weight we lift is 25kg but on average I’m normally picking 19kg. We have to go off a headset so we can’t guarantee what we pick.

Basically I had a meeting with my manager and he said we just continue to pick until we tell them “we physically can’t” I don’t know why I’m shocked. I thought they would have said no heavy lifting from 12-15 weeks but no. He said in the past some woman have been picking until 6/7 months

I already suffer from anxiety and I feel worried about it. Should we be lifting this heavy amount? Maybe now yes because I’m 7 weeks but In the future… I’ve read so many articles saying no heavy lifting bending or standing or ages. I’m doing it all. I don’t even want to do it now because I’m anxious but I guess I’ll have to for a while

I’m going to talk to my midwife at my first appointment and see what she says.

He said they would try and find us something else to do like a sit down job but it would be very hard as there’s nothing to do (plus there’s another girl who’s same week as me so that would be 2 people they’d have to find) he did suggest something he could put me on in the future but that still requires driving around in the warehouse with no seat and being on my feet All day still but no lifting or bending.

What’s your thoughts on this? Am I over reacting??? I only work 2 days which yes is the good side but I’m not constantly used to lifting , I’m off for 5 days then back to lifting heavy
