So I’m 38 weeks my doctor gave me the ok to start collecting colostrum & when I do hand express some comes out but not enough to catch :( I feel like a failure is there anything I can do to change this???

It’s ok babies tummies are so tiny. My first was fine with what I had until my milk supply came in. My second was starving from the second he popped out so he actually ended up having my colostrum plus two bottles of donated breast milk before my milk came in.

They have suction syringes just for this! It works like a little breast pump lol. And you store it in the syringe and it comes with a nipple to feed baby straight from the syringe!

You can collect it with a syringe.  I have seen others do this.

Colostrum is not high in volume. It’s very concentrated and baby has a very tiny tummy when they’re born. Just wait for babe to be born, nurse on demand - cluster feeding is very normal and then let your milk come in like usual.
