WEDDING

It’s been over a year since I have talked to my FH’s side of the family due to personal issues. He has a daughter from his previous relationship and I have one from mine. He has no custody over his daughter, his parents do. Theyve been giving him false hopes all this time saying we would be able to have her with us one day but they keep playing these games and dangling her over his head. Ever since we moved in together and they see that he’s been spending more time with me and my daughter, that’s when this whole feud began. His siblings would text him “you should be with YOUR daughter” and dumb shit like that when me and my family has been nothing but loving and open towards all of them all these years. His mom was always picking on my daughter and getting jealous of her whenever we were around. Soo.. we decided to cut them out completely because of their toxicity; he said even if it means he could only see his daughter occasionally. (Trust me- We’ve been trying for YEARS to build a relationship with her but his parents are so fucked up that they brainwash her and keep her away from him as much as possible).

Just recently, he told me that he wanted to get married next year in another country and didn’t mention anything about his side of the family being there. I’m just afraid that he will feel some way come the day of our wedding because at the end of the day, they’re still his family. Am I overthinking things? Should I at least send them an invite? His mom is deathly afraid of plane rides so I’m sure she won’t be coming but it’s the thought that counts right? Or should I just leave it be since we’re happy regardless?
