9 months tomorrow! Not responding to name every time??

Hi everyone! My daughter will be 9 months tomorrow. When usually do babies respond consistently to their name when called? My daughter will look/respond some of the time but the other times she's playing with a toy/exploring she won't answer on the first call out to her.. she's doing well milestone wise (crawling everywhere, standing independently, cruising, babbling). Should I be concerned?

Mine responses sometimes and not others…..like my older ones did at their age.  I just put it down to rudeness 😂 but in all seriousness they get engrossed even at this young age xx

I believe as long as they are responding majority of the time you are fine. Kids get really into what they are doing and focus really well so if you are trying to interrupt that it may not actually work. I tend to say their names when I’m feeding them to see their response and eye to eye contact. If I’m playing with them such as rolling a ball to them I’ll say “name, catch the ball” and again eye to eye contact and then rolling the ball. If they are independently engaged in something saying their name might not get their attention right away. My husband “doesn’t hear me” all the time when he is super focused I’m sure a kid is similar lol.
