I am entering my 4th year on the Kyleena IUD and haven’t had a period my last 3 cycles. Before this, I have had a regular period every month since getting the IUD. I went to my gynecologist and she said that the IUD will lose its hormones towards its expiration date(5 years) and that it might make my period irregular. I was wondering if any one else who has had a IUD for awhile has experienced this because of course my first thought of skipping a period is that I am pregnant.
