a very strange period

my period started 8 days early. the first two days were darker discharge so i thought maybe it was just having random spotting but it ended up being my period. now it’s been 9 days and i’m still going. i’m on the pill and have been for a very long time and my period sometimes comes a little late, but it’s never early, especially not 8 days early. it’s been very regular usually to the exact day and almost always 7 days or less. i didn’t miss any pills nor have i had any lifestyle changes recently. not sure if i should be concerned
