Support Ron DeSantis Bill?

Do you support the bill in Florida that eliminated sales tax for all items for children under 5?  No sales tax on diapers, wipes, cribs…ect.

You can say whatever you want about the guy.  This is a good bill that really dose support all people.

No I don’t because in every other area of life Ron Destantis is a horrible person. One logical bill doesn’t make up for all the other disgusting things he has said and done.

This is part of his pattern. He puts forth a bare minimum bill to distract attention from all his other shitty bills.
We really wanted to give him a chance when he was first elected. He passed decent legislation protecting the Everglades. We were cautiously optimistic. 
But this version of him is destructive to Florida. 
The utter arrogance of his ‘anti-woke’ platform is all about imposing his ideologies on everyone. He’s the governor of all Floridians. But he passes laws to protect the white hetero identities - they don’t need anymore protection! Goes after Disney because they are a completely inclusive community. Overhauls our kids textbooks to remove ‘race’ out off it. How TF do you tell the story of Rosa Parks without mentioning she was black!? How TF do you teach AP African-American history without mentioning racial injustice?!
And that’s not even the half of it! 
No one wants his bullshit legislation. Especially the convenient one he just passed that allows him to be governor and run for president at the same time.

I find him to be a deplorable person. I don’t trust him, and that makes me hesitant to trust this. What’s the catch? How is this benefiting him and hindering others? How much will he refer to this one proposal on the campaign trail? Is he trying to pull in moderate Republicans and Independents who may disagree with his other policies? How will the state make up the difference when no collecting these taxes? What programs or departments are having their budgets slashed because of this? No policy is simple or straightforward. There’s always a domino effect.

I’m all for anything that makes things easier for parents. But what else is in this bill? Is that all? Is it just eliminating sales tax for child items? Or is there more to it? I’ll try and research more on it.

People in the comments are more focused on the man than the bill 🙄. Once a politician is on their shit list, they can’t do anything right. 
And, so what if it’s a bill to help discourage abortion or what was called a “pro life bill”, it’s helping parents all around. It’s yet another way to lighten the financial strain of having children, which has become so heavy. 
Is it better that women have the added financial burden to inch them more towards abortion? Some Pro choice folks act as if abortion is really a good thing to do. It’s a choice to have but rarely are women happy they feel they have to go through it and rarely do they do it and forget they did it. It usually lives on with you and can be very traumatic, regardless of how many reasons you have for having done it. If this helps women (and men) not feel as burdened by the idea of having a child while already financially strained, I don’t see the problem.
