What type of twins am i having?

I was told they have their own placenta hut looks like they are in the same sac? This is my first set of twins so im confused with all the lingo and what it means and this was an ultrasound at 6w5d

Just sharing for comparison… this was at 5w with my FRATERNAL twin boys. Two sacks, and they each had their own placenta = di-di
Your photo shows babies sharing a sack. It seems like your egg split, so they’re most likely identical. They’ll end up being either mono-di (one sack, two placentas) or mono-mono (one sack, one placenta).

I am NOT  doctor but I believe they’re identical if they share a sac. I’m fairly certain fraternal twins have their own sacs.

I have identical mono-di twins and they have one placenta but two sacs. I believe two placentas means they will be fraternal twins. At 6 weeks, it's kinda hard to tell. I had my first scan at 8 weeks and they told me I had mono-mono twins, then it was di-di twins, and finally settled on mono-di twins after my 12 week scan. It may take a few tries to get it correct, but just be patient, you're still in the early stages. The lingo used to confuse me so much I just went to Google and searched "1 placenta with 2 sacs" and got results for all the different types of twins. It helped me because I was able compare them all and remember which one I had when I forgot the big medical terms lol.

At 6 weeks you don’t have placentas yet. They don’t develop until week 10-12. 
So they will determine that as they get bigger and placentas are formed.

Update! US done at 15weeks found out baby b ìs a GIRL!!! & they are in separate sacs, separate placentas DI/DI twins they told me im habing the lowest risk type of twins. Hopefully they will make it to 38-40weeks. So far they measure the same.

I am pregnant with mono-di twins. They had to wait further along to determine that tho. Yours are in the same sac so they may actually share a placenta. Further along they’ll be able to see if there’s a membrane separating them. If they’re is a separation, they’re mono-di, no separation, then they’d be mo-mo which is really rare
