How do you get a guy to do foreplay?

The thing is me and my man have amazing sex. Like just as freaky, often, and loving as I like it. However, he’s not the best at foreplay. He does the acts well but he doesn’t do them as often as I need. I know some people can get soaking wet just from kissing but that’s not me😅. Now for the most part I’m very comfortable with sexuality but I feel so uncomfortable asking for him to eat me out or even just to finger me. I feel like for the most part it’s from hearing the horrible things guys say about women. Such as how it tastes and smells (even tho I make sure I’m showered and clean beforehand). Any advice on how to get comfortable with it? Should I tell him I feel uncomfortable asking?
