Obese and pregnant - what was your experience?

If you have had a successful pregnancy while obese, what complications or challenges did you face?
What did you do to ensure a healthy pregnancy?

4’11”, 199lbs first pregnancy no issues, ended up at 213 on the day of delivery. 2nd pregnancy, started at 210, currently 208 at the 20 week mark. BMI is high. It’s always been so high… everything has been smooth. I have sciatic nerve pain in both pregnancies. That’s it.

I am 5’5” and with my first pregnancy weighed 267 at the start of my pregnancy and went down to 239 by the end of the pregnancy. I had severe HG the entire pregnancy and ended up with preeclampsia at 32w and induced at 35w… not sure if any of that had to do with my actual weight but it put me at higher risk. Second pregnancy I started at 199 and went up to 217 and had no complications other then high BP at 36w so they induced at 37w. This pregnancy I started at 208 and so far am up to 216 at 27w and have again had no complications so far. High BMI can put you at higher risks for complications but by no means guarantees you aren’t going to have a smooth pregnancy. My friend is 5’6” and 320Ibs and had 0 complications through her pregnancy.

I’m a plus size bmi over 30 currently 34+4 today. 
I am on asprin since 13 weeks due to white coat syndrome and history of a loss before this pregnancy. I am on blood thinners since 28 weeks due to having 3 factors to be on it was assisted pregnancy (needed clomid to fall pregnant) and my bmi)
I don’t have GD everyone said to me oh you will have the diabetes because of my size lol 😆 I definitely don’t have it and infact all bloodwork for everything has been perfect. 
Regards pregnancy no issues at all, baby is healthy so far and even for plus size I felt baby move from 16weeks seen from the outside by 20 weeks. I am lucky enough my diet and lifestyle is and always have been good (I have pcos so my weight is from pcos) I did swimming 3 times a week up to last week I had to drop to 1 time a week just listening to my body and it said I needed to slow down a bit. I am on a low carb low sugar routine since before pregnancy so I could stay on that. 
Regarding birth plans my weight isn’t in the way of what I want to do regarding birth wishes (if I need to have a c section I have been cleared to be awake for it) drs and midwives are amazing I am lucky to be in a hospital who are plus size friendly as there is some hospitals that aren’t plus size friendly.
