Hi I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I notice that my bikini area , under arms are getting darker. Is there any cream that I can apply during this time to lighten the skin?

It's called hyperpigmentation or chloasma and is very common during pregnancy. Changing hormones, particularly the excess of estrogen and progesterone, is the main cause during pregnancy. Once your hormone levels return to normal, the dark patches should too but not always. I dont recommend using anything now because you'd basically be gradually bleaching your skin, which wouldn't be safe while pregnant. Plus, your hormones are constantly changing, so it would be counter-productive. Once you deliver, I recommend talking with your doctor for recommendations that best fit your needs and skin type. That way, you can ensure maximum benefits while minimizing any potential allergic or adverse reactions.
