Is the Chiropractor Worth It?

Hi all! I don’t think I’ve ever posted on here, but I’m searching for some advice, or maybe just your own personal experience.

I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first is almost 4 years old. (I had a hard time postpartum with him, hence the large age gap.) I finally decided to have another after overcoming a rough patch mentally. So my dilemma here is that I had an emergency c-section with my first, and I’m seeking to do a VBAC this time around. My doctor is in full support and so far thinks I’m a good candidate, but he can’t confirm it completely yet until I’m further along. Long story short, I was induced but did not progress and then my water broke and they believed it had meconium in it (turns out it was just my mucus plug). He was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice.

I’ve sought out help from a chiropractor who specializes in the Webster Method. I’ve met with her a couple times and got one adjustment from her, which I loved. She has had success from all the women who have came to her wanting a VBAC, so that’s slightly encouraged me in this direction. She also said that my spine is severely out of whack, especially my pelvis. Apparently i have a tilted pelvis, and she believes that contributed to my delivery experience the first time. However, big however, it’s pricey. My parents have said they would help with the cost and I’m truly so grateful for that. I’m just worried that we will spend all this money toward getting a VBAC, and then I end up in the same position as I was the first time with my son.

Can anyone maybe lend some advice or experience in having this done, and how you feel about chiropractic aid? Is it worth it, is it baloney, is it what you would recommend? Any and all opinions and experiences welcome! I’m just trying to weigh all my options here. Thanks so much ❤️
