Can pregnancy affect the health of my teeth and gums?

Hey mamas-to-be! I've heard that hormonal changes during pregnancy can impact the health of our teeth and gums. Have any of you experienced this firsthand? If so, what were the symptoms and how did you deal with them? Let's have an open discussion about the effects of pregnancy on our oral health and share our experiences!

Yes mine are sore and sensitive and bleeding. I need to go for a cleaning and I am dreading it. I was told by my dentist to rinse with salt water a few times a day and to use a water pick.

Yes, i have issues with my tewth anyway, one is broken in the middle and after a bit I get a horrible taste in my mouth, i havent been to the dentist yet because i couldn't afford to.. now that i have a pregnancy certificate im going to book an appointment to get it sorted finally, i was just worried incase I couldn't get any procedures done while im pregnant

Short answer is yes. I just make sure to stay on top of taking care of my teeth and seeing my dentist for regular checkups and cleanings.
