Do you tip in this situation
I always tip my hairstylist 20% and feel they deserve the tip. I've worked in salons and know they earn it. My hairstylist I actually watch their child at a low rate. She doesn't tip me. I have worked as a teacher and have had great kindness from parents as far as thankful gifts not of monetary value but of thought. It isn't a requirement but it is a nice gesture. This family has not always treated me well there has been many issues of forgetting food, diapers, not showing up on time, last minute changes of schedules, and bluntly rudeness. I still love how she does my hair but technically do I still tip when we are literally in service of eachother? I also don't ask for discounts at all and pay full price for my entire family to see her.+to the person who asks who tips their daycare worker. I've always been tipped. Also had parents who tip based on when they don't provide the necessities to care for their child which this family has taken advantage or when they have switched schedules or late pickups. I am over qualified to be helping this family and so I am doing them a favor. In that case if I am already providing care beyond our agreement should I tip her for a service when she owes me? To me it doesn't make sense but to pay her for her time since that is the bare minimum she does. This family I have already given an end date to be having their child in my care.
