Controlling husband?

I really like tattoos and piercings. I have one tattoo that I got in my early 20s but I have well over 10 piercings. My husband told me I wasn’t allowed to get tattoos in certain spots on my body because it would make me unattractive to him. He also said I couldn’t get my septum pierced because that would also make me unattractive to him. I had a long talk with him and he said that if I want to get a tattoo to at least talk to him about it first but he refuses to budge when it comes to my piercings that I want. I’ve told him it’s my body and I’ll do with it as I please and that as my husband, he should be attracted to me regardless. I’ve tried to compromise but at the end of the day, I feel like I’m sacrificing my happiness to keep him happy. I love expressing myself through tats & piercings and I enjoy getting them.

Does this make him seem controlling? What would you do if your husband tried to tell you what you can/can’t do with your body?
