IVF question

Hi, first time on ivf. I started my stimulation drugs last week Monday. Today I went in for a scan and they found 6 large follicles and plenty of smaller ones(9 each on both ovaries).

The nurse said someone of my age(38) avg is 8-12. I was due to transfer this Friday but now it’s looking like it’ll be early next week.

They’ve increased my dose of stimulation drugs but I’m concerned they won’t grow in time and I’ll be left with only 6. Has anyone experienced this before? Did your follicles grow in time?
