Keep the name?
My husband and I finally agreed on a name that we both like, but I’m hesitant to commit to. My main hang up is that my absolute FAVORITE college professor whom I am still friends with on social media had a baby less than a year ago and chose this same first name. I know it’s silly to be hung up on a name because of the child of a professor that you have not even met, but I feel like I would be copying her baby’s name. Plus, my really close friends from college are also friends with this professor (she was seriously the best professor on the face of the planet) and I feel like it would be weird for them to have to keep up with 2 babies with the same name. Am I just overthinking this? I do really like the name and it was really hard to find something that my husband likes too, I just don’t want to copy the name that someone I greatly respect chose for her baby.
