So over being pregnant, but scared of preterm labor

I had an appointment at 32 weeks in which my fundal height was measuring 36 weeks. The earliest they could get me in for an ultrasound was 2 weeks later (34 weeks/last Thursday). I was helping my Husband with cleaning up Tuesday night & felt a lot of pressure almost like I was going to pop. Then I started having some really inconsistent contractions. I thought my belly looked weird (a reddish-purple color almost), so I decided to weigh myself. I had put on exactly 10lb since my 32 week appointment. I was worried, but I didn’t want to overreact since the contractions stopped & I was going to have an appointment in a couple days anyways.

I had my ultrasound on Thursday (again at 34 weeks). Everything is measuring perfect & looks great until the tech measures baby boy’s head. She goes “oh wow” & I responded with “he’s measuring big, isn’t he?” & she said “uh yeah, 5 weeks ahead big.” Then she measured his abdomen, which was almost 7 weeks ahead. I tested negative for diabetes so I assumed if there was any issue it was that maybe I had extra fluid & not a big baby, so I said that to her. She measured one quadrant & told me that it looked good, then started on the others. She took picture after picture & when it was obvious I knew what was happening, she told me “there may be a little extra fluid too”….. Then, I was told I needed to wait until my ultrasound was reviewed by my midwife & an OB. I waited & she told me they had her on hold but they wanted to know if I was busy with any appointments the rest of the day because they might want to send me for further monitoring. I started to panic. They said it’d be fine since baby is otherwise healthy, sent me home & scheduled a ton of appointments. 2 NSTs/week, an ultrasound/week, & an in office visit/week for the next 2 weeks. Then I will have the same after that except it’ll become 2 in office visits/week if I make it to 37 weeks.

My official diagnosis is Moderate Polyhydramnios & baby is LGA. They think he’s measuring 7lb 10oz.

On top of all of this, I wanted to try for a VBAC after having a baby via c-section July of last year. It was already something that I was nervous, but hopeful for. Now, I don’t think any OB would let me even try because I’m classified as high risk.

This baby is my second boy after having a second trimester loss 2 years ago. There’s even a possibility that this boy could come on that baby’s due date (September 19th). This is all so hard to process & I can’t really even ask any questions until I see an OB on Tuesday because the midwife I was seeing said that it’s important I save my questions & ask someone experienced with these “risks.” I’m definitely overwhelmed to say the least.
