Dilating @ 31 weeks??? HELP!

Hello Ladies! Due Nov 2nd but I feel sooner!😅 This is my 4th pregnancy. This one has been my toughest, for some time I’ve been cramping a lot but today I could feel A LOT lower pressure! Like strong period cramping front and lower pain, felt like halfway my butt. There was times in the day where it felt like contractions. Can you dilate this early? I was told that it could be pre term labor but all this is new to me. All my kids are born close to their due dates.
