Let’s say you and your partner go on a break, and it has been established that during this time you guys are not together—though you stay in contact. It lasts for 3 months almost 4 and during that time, your partner kisses someone else (only kiss, not sex). Did they cheat?

Cheating to me means being in a relationship. So , no I don’t view that as cheating. A break is a pause in the relationship, going separate ways to figure stuff out and see if you want to come back together to continue the relationship. It’s just pretty much a break up in fancy terms.
