How often is not often enough?

I think right now I am only having sex 1-3 times a month. Sometimes I really don’t notice or I have no problem with it but, does anyone else feel very disconnected from their partner when you have sex less often? How do you bring up a topic like this so your s/o?

We haven’t had sex since July 4. Our sex life pretty much died after we had our son 5 years ago. Our daughter was quite the surprise but we knew exactly when that happened because we only had sex once. I miss our life before kids. I’m hoping it’s just a phase we’re stuck in and not the way our lift will forever be.

I’m currently going on 9 months pregnant so sex has started to become pretty uncomfortable for me and my bf and I haven’t been having sex that often. We’ve had sex like 2 times in the past 2 months I’d say and I definitely feel like it’s made me feel more “distant” or disconnected from him. I’ve noticed we seem to argue more as well and we’re quicker to get frustrated with each other. There’s not much I can do at the moment in my situation since it’s just an end of pregnancy thing but I have told my bf how i feel so we’ve started doing other things to feel closer to each other like showering together more often and cuddling at night before we turn over to go to bed just stuff like that and it’s helped.
