Maternity leave?

When are y’all deciding to take maternity leave? I’m 32 weeks on Friday and I’m miserable because of how much pain I am in. I am trying to hold out because we need the money but I don’t think I can.

I went out on leave last week (my last day was the 15th) at 33 weeks. This is my 5th and I could not physically do it anymore. My Dr agreed since I have a history of premies that I didn't need to keep pushing myself. I. Very fortunate though to have a month worth of PTO that I will be able to exhaust before my leave kicks in. I have never gone out of work before labor before and honestly I think it was a great decision. It gives my body time to rest and my kids some 1:1 time before baby gets here.

Im 33 weeks.   I worked until 38 weeks last baby. Im a maintenance mechanic and my job is physical.  Even with a doctors note i cant sit down at work because men arent very understanding lol.     Im going out the 11th but we move into our new house the 12th so i need time to move in and nest.  The money will be tight but i chose short term disability when i got hired so i could go out early.

i’m gonna work until my body tells me not to lol i don’t get paid leave and i’ll only get 6-8 weeks of leave 😩 so i’m trying my best to make sure my little savings last and save a little extra also. i’m due nov. 18th so hopefully i can work until around the 5th-8th of nov. (which is a little over the 38 week mark). i do home health with 1 client so it’s not too bad for me.

I get 16 weeks of fully paid maternity leave. This is my third and I will work until the day this baby decides to come.  That’s what I did with my previous 2.

I know how much it sucks working during the end of pregnancy. Being SO uncomfortable, exhausted, heartburn, pain, etc etc. But I would try to hold out for as long as humanly possible before going on leave. You’ll want every single second you can possibly get with your baby. Even if this means you move at a snails pace at work, just get through a few more weeks mama!

Oh gosh 😭 I don’t even get paid maternity leave. So we are going to be struggling for a minute. That’s why I don’t want to go yet but the pain is getting unbearable.

My last day is next Thursday the 5th. I’ll be just shy of 33 weeks. Also have some PTO to cover me until the end of October. I just want to sleep for the next 2 months 😂. Last pregnancy I went off at 30 weeks but was carrying twins and delivered at almost 36 weeks and the leave before that went off 37 weeks and had him at 38 weeks.

Whenever baby girl decides to come I’ll start my leave. I want those 12 weeks all with her since that’s all I get for leave

My job will not offer paid leave until after the baby is born 12-14 weeks depending on delivery. The only way I can get paid leave before is if I have complications which thank god I don’t. I only have 1 week of PTO so I guess at 39 weeks. I’m not mentally prepared to work October and November I’m in the liquor industry and those are 2 busy months and also my last 2 months pregnant 😩

2 days before I have him 😭 this is my second and I’m in so much pain I can barely walk at times. My doctor wants to take me out but I want those 12 weeks with my baby so I’m trying to hold out. Currently almost 35 weeks
