Will I lose my teeth

Question

I really want to have a baby but I’m nervous that the pregnancy is going to make me lose my teeth. 
I’ve always had issues with my teeth since I was a kid.  And last time i went , they told me I have really irritated gums and gingivitis. 
Any advice about teeth and pregnancy??

Pregnancy does cause dental issues, but just take extra care of them and see a dentist regularly and you should be fine.

While pregnancy and breastfeeding can cause dental issues it doesn't mean it will. Your best course of action is to see the dentist before pregnancy and at least once during pregnancy unless can issue arises. It's important to see a dentist after birth as well. I've always had good teeth. With my daughter i never had any issues. I didn't have any issues with my son but afterwards by gums did bleed a little during routine cleanings (I go every 6 months as recommended by the hygienist due to the bleeding). The hygienist said bleeding wasn't a cause for concern as it could be hormones from breastfeeding but best to keep an eye on it

Seek dental care prior to and during pregnancy! Be proactive about it and reduce your risk for issues.

When i was pregnant with my first my gums got so sensitive and would bleed my doctor told me to eat alot of tums for extra calcium along with my vitamins in my second month they stopped bleeding i used a very soft tooth brush the whole pregnancy and i made sure to bruse slowly pregnancy can cause teeth problems just talk to your doctor and your dentist .i dont know if it was all from my pregnancy we have a dental disease on my moms side of the family its along word(i cant think of it now) but its basically hard core gingivitis i have always taken extra care of my teeth and gums. Maybe my first pregnancy aggravated it. But with my second pregnancy i was fine.

I use to have really nice teeth. No issues. Got pregnant with my daughter and cracked a few teeth. After her they just started crumbling. Got pregnant with my son and cracked even more. I was set for an extraction (original plan was dentures but oral surgeon decided to start with the 6 most problematic teeth and go from there. Eventually top dentures while avoiding bottom dentures at all costs) but 2 weeks before extraction, pregnant with our last baby. Had to call it off. I've cracked so many more teeth since being pregnant with him. He's almost a month old now so I'll go to the dentist soon and get a new game plan. But yea. Pregnancy really took a toll on my teeth. I look back at pics where I'm smiling and showing my teeth and just get sad because I've learned to talk without moving my lips a whole lot to keep my horrid teeth covered. I never smile smile because I don't want people to see them. Start having mouth issues and the first question they ask is if I do drugs. I barely take 5 ml of children's liquid Tylenol when Im hurting. No, I don't do drugs. Having babies just wrecked my mouth. I'd still do it all again. They were worth losing my teeth.
