Would you be embarrassed if your friend did this?

My friend was trying to teach me how to make the first move on a guy. I really like this dude at my college and want to ask him out. My friend has dated a lot of guys. I've dated 1. So we went to the mall and she got two guys numbers and tried to get a 3rd guys number at the food court and the guy said "I'm here with my boyfriend l." I thought that was funny but then my friend turned into a frat boy with a bruised ego and asked this guy did he go to guys because he couldn't get a girlfriend and how they have sex. And I left. That's so embarrassing. She got TWO other numbers and couldn't take the damn L? I told her if she's gonna act like that I'm not going out with her anymore. That's embarrassing. Now I'm the one overreacting.
