How would you feel about a man who says “every penny has a name”?

I’ve been seeing this man whose a really great man. He’s smart, thoughtful, and intentional.
When it comes to money, he never makes me feel like I can’t order a certain food etc at a restaurant. He happily allows me to purchase what I want.
We discussed money and how we both handle money the other day and he told me that he has alot investments, savings, and that “every penny has a name, meaning I’m very intentional with my money”.
A part of me felt like this made it sound like he was “cheap”, but the other side of me says hes just good with his money? Thoughts?

He values his money and doesnt waste it/blow it in nonsense. That doesnt mean hes stingy, eg he gladly treats you, because he doesnt see that as a waste of money. Im honestly not sure what the concern is?

Sounds good to me. Mature, responsible and stable. If what he says is true, I don’t know why a woman would see anything other than positives.

I take that as he doesn’t spend frivolously. He’s mindful of how money is spent. This is who I am too. Yes, I do shop sales and not buy the most expensive item without a sale, but I wouldn’t consider myself cheap. I just think things through

If he takes you out and happily allows you to purchase what you want I do see the cheapness. He is just responsible 😌not many people have decent savings accounts or money invested so I’d consider it a good thing, not a cheap thing.

My husband and I are both like this. We're very intentional because we have a lot that we are planning for and we don't believe in wasting money needlessly. We want to pay for college for all of our kids, buy them vehicles, pay for their weddings, help with down payments on their first homes, buy all of the furniture for the nurseries for every single grandbaby, have college funds for each grandbaby, take family vacations, and much more. Even planning rentals for our kids to rent from us until they are ready to buy. We're in our first home right now and when we're ready to build our next home we plan to have the entire thing paid off in 10 years. We're not tightwads we just have big plans for our family. You never know, maybe he's aggressively payibg off student loans, medical bills, debt, his home, ect. Maybe he's aggressively pursuing financial freedom.

My husband is like this. He is frugal and responsible, not cheap. If I really want something he will usually always get it, but he doesn’t just spend willy nilly and if he sees I get too frivolous (oops haha) he reeks me back in
