PCOS Ovulation help!

So cut a long story short or try 😅.. we tried for 3 years with no luck, referred to doctor who prescribed metformin to regulate periods which it did but I wasn't ovulating, referred for fertility treatment was given clomid for 6 months, on the 6 month we fell with our little boy who's now 6.. during the past 6 years we have never used contraception and since having him periods were pretty regular so stopped the metformin, never fallen again up until end of March this year, total shock as never thought it would happen, unfortunately it ended up in a missed miscarriage in May🥺 absolutely awful and heartbreaking.. since then I have again been having regular periods but haven't fallen since. My question is do you think I should take metformin to help with ovulation even though my periods are regular now? and also is there any other medication/vitamins anyone can recommend to help with ovulation.. it's really starting to get me down. The doctors have said they now cannot refer me for fertility treatment for a year due to falling unexpectedly on my own 😔 (sorry for the long post)
