Ttc after bc

So I was on birth control from September 2019 till January of this year. I was first on the nexplanon for a year and then switched to the combo pills for the last few years. Since then, my periods have been extremely irregular. I had regular periods for a few months after I stopped bc-from January till April. Then I stopped having a period till august 28th. Now I’ve again yet to have my period. Does it take forever for periods to regulate again? I’m ttc my third baby and it’s just so frustrating not having my period and getting negatives.
