No. Testing too close to or during your period can cause a false result.

They say the line on an ovulation stick needs to be as close to or stronger than the control line colour. However, when i was trying and failing to conceive what really helped me in the end was charting my temperature alongside the ovulation strips. It really helped me pin point ovulation, soon as there is a spike that is when you need to get down to it with your partner. Could be worth a try. You can get a thermometer that links via an app to your phone and logs the readings and shows you how it goes over the months. Or if those ones are out of your price range (i got mine for £10 from amazon) a standard thermometer you stick under your tongue will do. You just take it ideally soon as you wake up around the same time eah day and make a log of it yourself if it isn't digital. You can research online how to do the temperature for ovulation purposes should you need more information. If your periods are not regular i would suggest sorting that out first. There are various methods. You could always seek that advice from your doctor. I used fertility smart tablets online which sorted out my periods and for my son i truly believed helped me conceive him. They have loads of good reviews but this is my experience not what i am telling you to do.
