Anyone have discharge from your nipples?

Nipple dishcharge what could cause it? Not pregnant I have my tubes clamped and my husband had a visectomy and I still take birth control so can’t be that lol

Could be a non cancerous tumor on your brain. I’m getting an MRI for this reason. Not because of discharge from my nipples but prolactin levels are high. Definitely see a doctor and see an endocrinologist. Best of luck!

I’m a general surgeon, and do a lot of breast work up and surgery. Spontaneous nipple discharge when you’re not breastfeeding (and not provoked by squeezing), should always be evaluated by a physician (usually a surgeon, or at least your OB). Like previous comments it can be due to many reasons, many of which are not worrisome. Antidepressants and other medications can cause it. Concerning nipple discharge is spontaneous, bloody, and one sided, and especially if associated with a palpable mass, nipple inversion or a breast rash. Always make sure your mammograms are up to date, but with nipple discharge you need a breast ultrasound as well. Hope this helps!

Definitely get checked but don’t panic! This happened to me after a miscarriage and I was further traumatized by people telling me I had cancer. Hormonal changes and stress can also cause discharge, as well as benign cysts in ducts. Best of luck!

If its both sides having discharge typically its nothing to worry about, ive had that happen before. Had bunch of tests done and was fine just my hormones were a little weird and it went away not too long after. It can also happen from overstimulation of the nipples.

happened to me too during nipple chafing, i applied an at home ointment and it was okay
