5 weeks 1 day - light brown spotting and cramps?

I just started some light brown spotting this morning at 5 weeks 1 day pregnant with some mild cramping (comparable to cramps right before a period when you know it's coming) and some sharp twinges on both sides here and there. I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year where I had absolutely no spotting of any kind until I had to take the medication for the miscarriage so I'm just kind of nervous. Has anyone else experienced this? What was the outcome?
