Hysteroscopy
Hey!
Yesterday i was informed i needed a hysteroscopy to find an issue with abnormally heavy bleeding and pain. I do have endo and have lived with it since a couple years after my first period but the pain is worse now than before my laproscopic surgery several years back. Doc said a possible hysterectomy was in my future and im just looking for any advice or experience i can get as to what recovery, pain, reasons as to why other have had such procedures, problems that were caused by the surgery ect. Give me any and all knowledge pls.. as this upcoming appointment is leaving me very anxious.
..Tiny back story my mother also had endo and has also recieved a hysterectomy due to the endo tissue and cancerous cells causing her great pain.. i believe this is something along the lines of what i will be told after the biopsy..
I was also informed there are other procedures that can get done instead of the hysterectomy and that i may want to consider them if i am able to do something other than the hysterectomy .. (i dont rememeber the name of the one, was told similar to a D&C and cauturization) as well as hormone options like an iud or birth control. I have had a tubal 4 years ago and more children arnt in my future. My BC in the past caused me a lot of issues with my skin mood and weight so im not sure those two options will even be considered... But the more knowledgable i am with whats to come the better id feel.
TIA
