Beyond Exhausted

Sonjia

Warning: my story is kinda.. scary? Graphic? Sorry. Just needed to vent. I survived my first trimester. And when I say survived-- I mean dragged myself through barely. I had horrible nausea and barely kept anything down. Then I had a near death experience in November. I had been sitting on the side of my bed when I had a coughing spell and passed out. When I woke up on the floor I was face first in a puddle of my own blood. I had cracked my head on my way down. But the head wound wasn't the scariest part. When I was in the ER, I found out that I had blood clots in my lungs close to my heart. Later that day I had surgery where they removed 15 blood clots from my lungs. I was told that I could have had a stroke or worse if we had found out any later. Honestly I know its a miracle but the recovery has been rough. Everything is mostly healed up but even though I've hit my second trimester I am still so exhausted. Its so hard to keep going. The only time I feel optimistic is when I have my appointments and see my little girl wiggling around on the ultrasound.
