Miscarriage after successful 1st pregnancy..

I just went through a miscarriage at 5 weeks and I’m completely confused and just upset over this. I have a 3 year old daughter who’s pregnancy was healthy and no complications. My now boyfriend and I tried for a second (his first) and we just lost it. Anyone ever experience something like this? Is it normal for this to happen after a successful pregnancy? Thanks…
