3.5 year old still not potty trained?

Im at my wits end ladies 😩 Ive been try to potty train my son for awhile now and though he understands the concept, he still has frequent accidents. At home, he has no pullups on, bare bum. And sometimes does tell me he needs the potty. Daycare wont take him out of pullups yet since they say while he does pee in the potty when they all use the washroom, he still hasnt learned to TELL THE TEACHER he has to go😅 
Ive trie everything to teach him. I think the inconsistency between being in pullups at school and none at home confuses him but they just wont budge as they dont wanna deal with accidents. Ive spent long weekends trying and trying to teach him. 
He has always learned things later than his peers. Walked late talked late etc so I know he will get it eventually. But he starts kindergarten at age 4 here and should be fully trained, so Im getting super nervous! Im a single mom as well so i dont have much help here.

My son refused. Just absolutely refused to go potty. We tried everything and I was also stressing about preschool. He would go every night before bath, but every other time he would just be like oh yeah. I’m wet. He also started throwing up when he’d go #2 🤦‍♀️ 
We finally had him pick out a big item. Something he wanted real bad. We didn’t buy it, but I promised that if he could go for a week with no accidents I would buy it for him. We still did pull-ups when out and about to avoid having to wash the car seat. But as soon as he got up in the morning we went straight to the potty. We’d have him go every 2 hours and at least sit on the potty. I didn’t think he would do it, but for whatever reason it finally clicked. He had one tiny accident because his foot got stuck in his pant leg while he was trying to get on the potty. He asked with real big tears in his eyes if he could try again. We decided to let it slide. He never had another accident.

as a daycare teacher who potty trains students, i would put him on the same schedule as the daycare. it’s required to have everyone try the potty or change them every two hours. even if they don’t go on the potty, at least let him sit and make a big deal about it. i’ve always tried to get my students excited to sit on the potty and to be big kids who will be riding the bus soon. i would try to have a clear schedule with your sons daycare.

Just an idea because I have been working on my 2.5 year old. At home it’s just underwear. When we go out I do a pull up and underwear because I don’t want to have to wash the car seat. He then still knows he is wearing underwear. It’s been working great for us! Actually just yesterday he has finally started to tell me when he has to go potty! So excited we are almost fully potty trained because #3 is coming in March and I did not want two in diapers. Hope that helps! 😊also, maybe tell him to start telling you when he has to go. Good luck mamma and know he will eventually get it!!
