How long should it take for a dr to fix a prescription ?

Last Wednesday I contacted my obgyn dr about prescription problem. They eventually called back and said they fixed it next day pharmacy doesn’t have it so I call back Thursday or Friday. Nothing. Today I call back and they said they would talk to the dr and still nothing at pharmacy. What should I do? That dr isn’t in on Wednesday either. I need my prescription and feel like it shouldn’t take 4 days to send it? I spent $200 on my appointment just for them not to send the medication I need. I also sent a message on the portal last Wednesday and never heard anything. Never in my life had I had this issue.
