Is this the start of a Yolk Sac? 5w5d I think

Had an ultrasound today where dates put me at about 5w5d but gestational sac is measuring 5w0d. Does this look like the start of a yolk sac?

Doctor says she’s not sure if it’s a yolk sac or not, I have a history of miscarriage (7 total) so I’m stressed :/

Hcg today was 2714 which is along the trend of more than doubling every 48 hours

Thank you all! Update I went for another ultrasound today (Thursday) which was two days later and they saw yolk sac, fetal pole and I was able to see the heartbeat flicker. Measuring 5w6d :)

Next time skip the early ultrasound, after two miscarriages myself one no heartbeat one a blighted ovum, what’s an early ultrasound going to do beside make me panic? Nothing they can do to prevent a loss. Best to wait till at least 7 weeks so there would be something shown and make you worry less.

Yes yes! I ended up going back two days later, then another 2 days after that and then again today. Pregnancy has progressed and today I was measuring 6w4d with everything seen on ultrasound and a flickering heartbeat. Goodluck to you 🤞🏽

Giiiiirl I’m in that boat right now !!!!! They booked me for a 6 week ultrasound (several miscarriages) but I wasn’t 6 weeks I was 5 weeks and 6 days (the same thing I guess) but they couldn’t see flickering heart beat so they schedule me for a 7 week ultrasound tomorrow!!!! I heard it’s very common if you go to early for an ultrasound !!!

Yes definitely see that side of things too but at the same time ensuring the pregnancy is in the uterus is also incredibly important. Early ultrasounds definitely have their pros and cons that’s for sure.

Just wanted to update one last time. Unfortunately, even though things progressed and were looking good the last two weeks, our baby’s heart stopped beating sometime this weekend.

I know every pregnancy is different & everyone’s body but I kept miscarrying & it was as simple as progesterone 200 mg vaginal suppositories nightly until I was 12 weeks. Around 12 weeks, the placenta takes over. I had the most healthy pregnancy. Best of wishes!!!!

Definitely looks like it but you may have low progesterone if you keep losing your pregnancies early on. Have your bloodwork done asap if you haven’t already.

For some people who have recurrent loss, it’s needed to have an early pregnancy for a variety of reasons.
