LH when pregnant

Has anyone tested LH before getting a positive pregnancy test? Just wondering what happens to it.

Mine was positive. I actually wasn’t trying to take an LH test, I just accidentally grabbed the LH strip instead of the HCG strip. The LH strip was blazing positive and then the HCG was a faint positive.

I’ve been pregnant 3 times and each time I get this weird cramping. I can’t even describe it, but I know it when I feel it. It’s similar to a period but slightly different. So ya, I did notice that odd cramping. But that was my only “symptom” I think. Did you confirm you’ve already ovulated? And when will you start taking hcg tests?

Did you have any symptoms? I’m 7dpo and it’s really dark, like it’s almost positive but not yet positive.

Some women will see a blazing positive LH when they have a positive hcg test. Some women get a clear negative on LH when they test positive for hcg. While seeing a positive LH strip right around their expected period may indicate pregnancy, it cannot confirm it. You’d have to take a pregnancy test. LH spikes right before a period for many women too.

I actually tried with my daughter because everyone always says it. I already confirmed pregnancy with a home test and a test at the clinic. Definitely for sure pregnant. Had some leftover LH strips and figured why not since I won't be using these. It was negative. Never had a positive LH test during early pregnancy. Never worked for me. That kiddo is 6 now so I was definitely for sure pregnant 🤣

Some women may choose to track their LH (luteinizing hormone) levels before getting a positive pregnancy test. LH levels typically surge just before ovulation, but they can also rise during early pregnancy. However, using LH tests to confirm pregnancy is not as reliable as using a pregnancy test specifically designed to detect the presence of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), the hormone produced during pregnancy. It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional for accurate and reliable pregnancy confirmation.
