2 month old feeding sleeping and spitting up
Hi! The last time I was on here I was very pregnant, frustrated and getting fed up of having sore feet!
Now I have an almost 2 month old and it doesn’t feel like 2 seconds 😮💨😂
I’ve got a couple of questions in here so apologies for not being able to keep this short and sweet 🫣
I’m looking for a bit of advice in regards to my little boys feeding times and just his feeds in general.
He’s currently going through the 6-8 week growth spurt - he’s not having as many naps (can’t seem to stay asleep for very long without being held) , is more clingy and had started wanting to feed every 2 hours whilst clearing 4oz almost every bottle. We’ve since increased him to 5oz over the last few days which he’s doing well at finishing - however he’s now started going 5 hours between feeds since we’ve done this which I’m concerned is too long for 8 week old but if I wake him up early to feed, he doesn’t drink half as much because he’s just not hungry. Is this too long for a baby his age? I’m worried he won’t be getting enough to put on weight (he’s been gaining it absolutely fine so far - 7lbs 1oz when he was born , 9lbs 15oz a few days ago when he was last weighed) this leads onto my main issue. He will spit up after EVERY single feed. whether it’s during a feed whilst being burped, spit up. After a feed, spit up, hours after a feed, spit up, does good burps, spit up. No burps, spit up.. you get the idea. Sometimes he’ll grumble in pain with trapped gas, sometimes he doesn’t but either way he still brings a fair bit back up which concerns me even more If he’s going to go 5 hours between each feed whilst bringing up alot of every bottle.
We do everything that’s advised to ensure he’s not taking in too much air but nothing seems to make a difference.
If anyone could please offer me some advice I would really appreciate it, feeding time is currently exhausting (especially during the night) and whilst we have a delayed 8 week check up soon , I just hate seeing him uncomfortable after having a bottle (and getting milk thrown up on me 🫠)
I’ve add a photo of my little peach because other than this feeding malarkey, he’s just an absolutely star 🌟
