I just had my dating scan and they said I was 12 weeks amd 5 days. I had trouble understanding the sonographer and so did my partner. I thought I heard him say the word penis at some point, but I'm not sure. My partner didn't hear him say that though. The sonographer also referred to me as 'hun' at some point which my partner also missed. It was a bit of an awkward situation all around. Anyway, after I thought I heard him say the word penis, he kept referring to the baby as 'he'. His kidneys, his spine etc. But only a couple of times, then went back to saying 'the baby's x,y,z'. I know people often default to saying 'he', so that may have been what happened. We don't want to find out the sex of the baby until they are born. So I really hope I misheard. Is it even possible to see the genitals that clearly at that stage? On the other hand, he also looked at the baby's kidneys and I think a vein or something? So maybe it is possible
