I’m someone who has been negatively affected by my previous partners and their porn consumption so I was wondering how he’s affected other people’s relationships & intimacy?

This is my unpopular opinion: If people have to look for gratification outside of their relationship, then something is missing within the relationship. I think we’ve normalized this type of infidelity. Healthy couples communicate their needs and work to meet them together with intentionality without objectifying others on a screen. Porn is very damaging to the partner, the one using it, and the one performing it. It can literally rewire your brain when it comes to intimacy. Many women, and some men are left feeling hurt when they find out that their partner is watching porn, yet they get hate when expressing how they feel hurt because they’re supposed to think it’s normal and they’re labeled as controlling or weird if it makes them uncomfortable. Simply put, a relationship is no longer exclusive once porn is involved. Most people don’t even know what it’s like to have a relationship that hasn’t been impacted by porn because it’s so accessible, has instant gratification, and is prevalent. So as a society we just lower the bar in relationships and don’t value our partners or ourselves. Like I said, it’s my unpopular opinion. Others can disagree and that’s ok, different viewpoints in discussions make it interesting.

My partners and I love porn. We watch the amateur porn and we subscribe to certain OF accounts that make custom content for us. It hasn’t negatively affected us. It gives us new ideas to try.

We both watch porn and it doesnt affect us at all. We masturbate on our own and have a very active sex life. I think (just my opinion) that the reason it affects people is either too much porn that desensitizes a man to actual sex so makes it harder to cum. Or the woman compares themselves to porn or get in their head about is he really attracted to me? Many relationships are totally fine with porn and sex and some even do both together. Some dont do porn and its a boundary and that works for them. It has to be a mutual thing though. Not a don't do it i don't like it that makes partners hide it.
